Hey mama friend. Welcome to the next episode of Healthier Habits Mama. Today I wanna talk about beginning with your yes. [00:01:00] I feel it’s important to work on what we’re gonna say yes to in life. more so than what we wanna say no to. I found that more than our nos. Women give away our yes way, way too easy. We say yes and spread ourselves so thin and then we feel crappy.
Cause we’re over extended and we’re never able to see our yeses through completely. So I want us to really think through what are our true yeses for us right now in our lives. When you know what your true yeses are, it becomes easy, effortless to know what is your no. When you, when you define what your yes is and no becomes so much clearer, I wanna take a moment and ask, what are your top yeses?
What are you gonna say yes to this coming year? What are gonna be your priorities? Who and. is going to get your top, top prior priority in your life. [00:02:00] Think about is it worthy of your time, your energy, your attention? Who and what is going to get that top priority in your life, your time, your focus, your energy, your schedule?
Begin with Your Yes When Making Healthier habits
What areas of focus will you put for your truest. Some simple steps can be very powerful and deceiving. Instead of expecting huge change by way of big leaps, we wanna use some small and steady shifts towards that lasting change. Looking at a book by Christina Rasmussen, her book is called Second First Live, laugh and Love again.
She talks about a 5% rule, making small changes so that your brain isn’t triggered to protect you from change. Knowing your true yeses in life is the best way to get clear on where you need to be. Better at setting boundaries, where to focus your investments. Knowing your yeses can pave the way to make nose much.
We have to [00:03:00] bring our yes into our real life though, or set ourselves up for failure. This is where we’re gonna wrap our yes, with graces and permissions. You wanna be able to give yourself grace whenever you. May not make it and do quite as well as you want to do. We don’t want to equate it to perfection.
You’re not asking yourself to do it perfectly. You will give up if you think it needs to be perfect. How can I give my best? Consider what people, commitments and areas of your personal growth are going to get your top priority this next year. Think about your health. Any other areas in your family that you might need to.
so that you can determine where the yes comes. . So it’ll make it easier for you to say no to certain commitments or things that you might not want to put in there. And to help honor those yeses, you might need to give yourself some grace and permission along the way. So you might need to think about saying [00:04:00] things like, I’m gonna offer myself grace when I.
Maybe don’t complete something that I wanted to, or maybe I didn’t get dinner planned, or something like that. And give your permission. Give yourself permission to, you know, be tired and be able to give yourself the time that you need to take care of yourself.
